A constant torment? The prostate

Wel­come to this hybrid Med­ical Human­i­ties Sem­i­nar, host­ed by the Med­ical Human­i­ties Node at the Depart­ment of Arts and Cul­tur­al Sci­ences, Lund University.

Eric­ka John­son, Pro­fes­sor of Gen­der and Soci­ety at Linköping Uni­ver­si­ty and author of A Cul­tur­al Biog­ra­phy of the Prostate (MIT Press) will­p­re­sent the results of a mul­ti-sit­ed, inter­dis­ci­pli­nary med­ical human­i­ties project on the aging prostate. The sem­i­nar will also cov­er some of the research prac­ti­cal­i­ties, chal­lenges and oppor­tu­ni­ties that became appar­ent dur­ing the project, open­ing for a dis­cus­sion about how med­ical human­i­ties research could be done in the Swedish aca­d­e­m­ic struc­tures today.
