Orga­nized by the British char­i­ty organ­i­sa­tion BEARR Trust 

The British char­i­ty organ­i­sa­tion BEARR Trust is hold­ing a half-day con­fer­ence on “Ukraine: com­mu­ni­ty sup­port for men­tal health, resilience and recov­ery” this week on Fri­day 17 Novem­ber 2023 from 13:00 to 16:15 (London/GMT). The con­fer­ence will be a hybrid event, offer­ing the oppor­tu­ni­ty to attend in per­son in Lon­don (Unit­ed King­dom) or online.
Con­fer­ence speak­ers are rep­re­sen­ta­tives of Ukrain­ian civ­il soci­ety organ­i­sa­tions that pro­vide ther­a­peu­tic sup­port and human­i­tar­i­an aid on the ground, and academics/professionals who train vol­un­teers and devel­op strat­e­gy. They will dis­cuss the chal­lenges that local organ­i­sa­tions have faced, their approach­es to the pro­vi­sion of ther­a­peu­tic sup­port, future needs and strategies.
Researchers, activists, prac­ti­tion­ers, com­mu­ni­ty organ­is­ers and all inter­est­ed are very wel­come to attend. There will be simul­ta­ne­ous inter­pre­ta­tion into Eng­lish, Ukrain­ian and Russian.
The con­fer­ence is free to attend with dona­tions to the BEARR Trust’s Emer­gency Appeal for Ukraine warm­ly welcome.
