Work­shop „Heal­ing Ecolo­gies and Med­ical Diver­si­ty: Ethno­graph­ic Approach­es to Wellbeing”

The work­shop is orga­nized by Emi­ly Pieri­ni, Paul Stoller and Con­er­ly Casey, in col­lab­o­ra­tion with the HEAL Net­work for the Ethnog­ra­phy of Heal­ing, the Cas‑e Cen­ter (FAU Erlan­gen), and Sapien­za Uni­ver­si­ty of Rome’s PhD Pro­gramme in His­to­ry, Anthro­pol­o­gy, Religions. 

The pro­gramme includes:

- 4 keynotes: Elis­a­beth Hsu (Uni­ver­si­ty of Oxford), Fiona Bowie (Uni­ver­si­ty of Oxford), David Napi­er (UCL), and Mustapha Guda­ji (Bayero University)

- 4 pan­els on ‚med­ical diver­si­ty’, ’self and embod­i­ment’, ‚ecolo­gies of schol­ar-heal­er col­lab­o­ra­tions’, and ‚rela­tion­al­i­ty and trust’

- An expe­ri­en­tial work­shop on Ethno­graph­ic Song­writ­ing for Heal­ing led by Kristi­na Jacob­sen (Uni­ver­si­ty of New Mexico)

- A round­table dis­cus­sion on Per­spec­tives on Glob­al Health.
